Painting of axe and log rock

Jeanette Korpela (Carlton) created a painting of the axe and log rock (incised side) with an imagined background. The axe and log rock is close to the Scanlon park and ride, but the background is sort of a composite of the railroad cut south of the railroad rock and the landscape north of the beaver tracks rock. The painting is about 14 inches wide by 11 inches high. The imagined scene is set in the fall.

I thought a painting would be a good way of explaining the rock art along the St. Louis River trail. Also the image can be used to create other promotional items, such as coffee mugs.
