Of the five rocks added along the St. Louis River trail, the southernmost has beaver tracks on it. Yes, there is a beaver in the area. The tracks were added to the rock to make itÂ appear as if a beaver had been standing on the rock, looking to the west.
Â The tracks from the back feet areÂ can be seenÂ from the trail. Up close, the tracks from the front feet areÂ can be seen also. This rock is about 718 feet north of theÂ bollard north of County Road 3 andÂ about 9,581 feetÂ south of the bollard south of the Scanlon park and ride. The rock is about 24 feet west of the center of the trail.
